Our story

We were the pharmacy nursing homes trusted. Now we're the pharmacy NKY families count on.

Lifeline Pharmacy of Northern Kentucky started as a long-term care pharmacy, serving more than 5,000 beds across nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers in NKY and southern Ohio. That work taught us something most retail pharmacies forget: pharmacy is a relationship business, not a vending machine.

When chain pharmacies started closing across the region — CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid shuttering locations through 2023 and 2024 — entire neighborhoods were left without a local pharmacy and elderly patients without anyone who knew their medication history.

In March 2025, Lifeline opened to the public at 136 Plaza Drive in Cold Spring. Same expertise that served 5,000 long-term care beds — now serving families one prescription at a time.

What we believe

Pharmacy is a relationship business.

Three principles guide everything we do.

Know your name

You shouldn't have to spell your last name three times. We remember you, your kids, your dog, and what insurance you have.

Pick up the phone

If you call, a real pharmacist or technician answers. No phone tree. No 14-minute hold. Pharmacy is too important for that.

Get it right

We double-check every fill. We catch interactions. We coordinate with your physician. Getting it right is the only thing that matters.
