Prescription transfer
Switching pharmacies sounds like a hassle. It isn't — at least not at Lifeline. All you have to do is give us a call. We'll set up your profile over the phone in about five minutes, then handle the entire transfer with your previous pharmacy — every active prescription, all your refills, and insurance coordination.

Prefer to come in?
- In person — bring your old prescription bottle to the counter at 136 Plaza Drive. We'll set up your profile while you're there.
We accept all major insurance plans, Medicare Part D, and Medicaid — switching pharmacies does not change your coverage. Once you're set up, pick up at the counter, use the drive-thru, or have your prescription delivered for $5 within 10 miles.
Local prescription delivery — $5
Flat $5 prescription delivery to homes and offices within 10 miles of Cold Spring, Kentucky — covering nearly all of Campbell County. That includes Newport, Fort Thomas, Bellevue, Dayton, Highland Heights, Alexandria, Wilder, Southgate, Silver Grove, Woodlawn, and Melbourne, plus neighboring parts of Kenton County within the radius.
Order by 2 PM Monday through Friday and we'll deliver same day. Saturday orders before noon ship Saturday afternoon. We'll text you when the driver is on the way.
Delivery is especially helpful for:
- Older adults and patients with limited mobility
- Families managing multiple prescriptions for kids
- Caregivers handling meds for a parent or loved one
- Patients with refills who don't want to drive across town
If you live outside our 10-mile radius, ask us — we sometimes accommodate longer routes for chronic-care patients.
Drive-thru pickup
Pick up your prescriptions without unbuckling the kids or waking the baby. Our drive-thru is open during all pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM.
Drive-thru works for refills, new prescriptions, immunizations consultations, and OTC purchases. If you'd like to chat with a pharmacist privately, just ask — we'll come out to your car or invite you in for a private consultation.
Walk-in vaccines & immunizations
Walk in any time during pharmacy hours — no appointment needed. We bill insurance directly, so most patients pay $0. We also offer cash pricing for vaccines not covered by insurance.
Vaccines we administer:
- Influenza (seasonal flu)
- COVID-19 (current strain)
- Shingles (Shingrix)
- Pneumococcal (Prevnar 20, Pneumovax 23)
- Tdap and Td boosters
- RSV for adults 60+
- Hepatitis A & B
- HPV (Gardasil 9)
- MMR
- Travel vaccines: typhoid, yellow fever (referral), rabies, Japanese encephalitis
Going on a trip? Stop in three to four weeks before departure so we have time to source any travel-specific vaccines and complete the full series.
Medication synchronization
If you take three or more medications, you're probably making three or more pharmacy trips a month. Lifeline's free med sync program puts every refill on the same calendar day, every month — one pickup, one phone call, one less thing to worry about.
How it works: we review your prescriptions and adjust the first month's supplies so everything aligns. From then on, we call you a few days before your sync date to confirm refills, address any changes, and prep your order. Pickup, drive-thru, or delivery — your choice.
Med sync is especially valuable for caregivers managing prescriptions for an aging parent or a family member with chronic conditions. Many of our caregiver families pair med sync with weekly pill packs (organized by day and time) so loved ones can stay independent at home longer.
Free medication review (MTM)
Sit down with a pharmacist for 15 minutes. Bring everything you take — prescription medications, over-the-counter, vitamins, supplements, herbal products. We will:
- Check for dangerous interactions or duplications
- Identify generic alternatives that could lower your cost
- Make sure your dosing is right for your kidney and liver function
- Answer any questions from your prescriber's last visit
- Coordinate with your physician if changes are needed
This service is free and is often covered as a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) benefit by Medicare Part D. Schedule by calling (859) 212-3931.
Long-term care pharmacy
Lifeline started as a long-term care pharmacy serving more than 5,000 beds across Northern Kentucky and southern Ohio nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers. That same expertise still serves the LTC community.
For LTC partners, we provide:
- Daily delivery and stat-medication response
- Cycle-fill packaging (blister, multi-dose, unit-dose)
- eMAR integration with major LTC software platforms
- 24/7 on-call pharmacist for clinical questions
- Consultant pharmacist services for chart review and regulatory compliance
- Specialty drug procurement and IV/parenteral preparation
Facility administrators or directors of nursing — contact Joseph directly at (859) 212-3931 to discuss transitioning your facility.
Over-the-counter, vitamins & home health supplies
We carry a curated selection of OTC medications, vitamins, and home medical supplies — not a five-aisle warehouse, but everything you actually need. If we don't have it, we'll source it for you.
Common items we stock:
- Pain relievers (acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen)
- Cold & flu, allergy, and sinus medications
- Digestive health (PPIs, H2 blockers, antacids, laxatives)
- First-aid supplies, bandages, antiseptics
- Diabetes supplies (test strips, lancets, syringes)
- Blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeters, thermometers
- Mobility aids (canes, walkers — we can order custom equipment)
- Vitamins, minerals, and pharmacist-recommended supplements
Ask the pharmacist before you buy — many "natural" supplements interact with prescription medications, and we'd rather flag it than have you find out the hard way.
